The 22nd Annual For the Public Good Gala and Fundraiser
Travis Ruane, a valued advisor at Associated Investor Services, sits on the board for the 22nd annual For the Public Good gala and fundraiser, benefiting Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida (CCLA) and Legal Aid Service of Broward County (LAS). This esteemed event, set for Thursday, October 17, 2024, supports vital legal aid programs in Broward County that provide free civil legal services to thousands of clients each year.
The gala is a significant gathering that brings together judges, attorneys, and community members dedicated to making justice accessible for the poor and disadvantaged. It includes an awards ceremony recognizing individuals who have made substantial contributions to improving the lives of those in need. Travis's participation underscores his commitment to advocating for social justice and supporting the legal community in South Florida.
Evan Vladem’s Athletic and Philanthropic Pursuits
Evan Vladem, another dedicated advisor on our team, competed in his third USTA Tennis Tournament at the Boca Delray Prize Money Open and NTRP Championship on July 20-21st at ONE TENNIS Academy in Boca Raton, FL. Ranked 620th nationally and 38th in Florida in the NTRP Men’s Singles 18+ 3.5 National Standings, Evan's participation in this tournament is a testament to his athletic dedication and competitive spirit.
Even more inspiring is Evan's partnership with the Movember Foundation, a cause close to his heart. Movember is renowned for raising awareness and funds for men’s health issues. Throughout the tournament, Evan proudly sported #AssocaitedCares apparel and a mustache, symbolizing his support for the foundation's mission and community work. His involvement highlights the importance of raising awareness about men’s health and supporting critical health initiatives.
In the second round, Evan had a hard-fought match that lasted 2 hours and 45 minutes. Though he fell in the tie-break, he was pleased was pleased with his play and is motivated to comeback stronger in his next tournament appearance.
Shawn Wooden Supporting Veterans and Their Families
Shawn Wooden, partner at Associated Investor Services, recently joined the Miami Dolphins and United Way of Broward County at their Food Relief Drive on July 13th. This food drive, aimed at serving veterans and their families in Broward County, underscores Shawn's dedication to making a positive impact on his community. As a former Miami Dolphins player, Shawn's involvement brings a personal touch to this important cause, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to supporting veterans and their families in the South Florida community.
